Now I want to be in a parade!

I'm always wondered how you make all the duckies move. Is the video done graphically or physically repositioning the duckies as you take multiple pictures and then make the pictures into a movie?

Great Job. I gave it a 5 star!
Have a great 4th of July to you as well.

Daisy, Parades are great. We should all be in one. Even if we're only a parade of one.

tashabud, I animate these the old fashion way. One frame at a time. It is tedious and time-intensive, but I it's the only way I know how...at this point.

Thanks for stopping by!!!!

Hey brother, I don't know what it is, but every time I try and view your videos, they don't load or I have technical problems. Have you thought about just uploading them to YouTube and embedding the youtube link in your post?

I'm just asking.

Thanks for your comments today and I hope you have a great 4th of July. I get chills when I read major historic documents like this as well, and I've actually seen the Declaration of Independence on display in the National Archives. When you start thinking about what these documents stand for, and what it took for the men who penned them and followed up by leading a revolution, your brain really starts to spin.

Cheers!

I love duckies and parades! Duckies and parades together - sheer genius! I have no idea how you did that, but it was awesome!

Matt--I'm not sure how to imbed a video into a post. I know you can upload videos, but mine are usually too big to work on most platforms (over 100 MB per video). I don't see any way to imbed directly from YouTube in a posting, but maybe another Blogger person could help me figure it out. Sorry you're having issues, but I haven't heard this from anyone else...yet. (Maybe it's your computer or Internet connection.)

Jailbird--it was magic...heh, heh...all I can say, is it was painstakingly long and arduous...and the only day I could film it was this week during 91 degree weather. So not only was I melting, but the paint on the ducks was too. And my back was killing me afterwards from constantly bending over in weird positions to move the ducks.

All, it's Sunday and I'm catching up on comments for the week. This is in response to your comment on my post: Declaration of Independence.

Henson--Thanks for sharing that...like I said to you earlier this week, I had the chance to see the Declaration of Independence on Display at the National Archives. It was one of those moments in life when you're so close to something so important it's not just like touching history, but it's like a wormhole connection to another place and time--while in the course of major world events, very few will be able to recognize their importance at the time, but through the the proximity to just a document like this, it really takes you to that moment in time, to that place, to that moment that really changed the world in the most significant of ways.

Crazy Working Mom--Et tu!

Len--like I said earlier to you, I can't imagine how difficult it must be for our troops in Iraq. They really must be wondering what they are fighting for, because it's not their freedom, our freedom, or even the Iraqis freedom. I really wish we could bring them home and they could enjoy the fireworks--even on a 98 degree night.

Mrs. Mecomber--great point...Especially after the breakup of the Former Soviet Union, there are a lot of countries in the world out there a lot younger than we are, even if their culture might still be a little bit our senior.

Kimmie--anytime you want to talk about Detroit just let me know. I'm heading back to Detroit this Thursday for four days. I'll also check out your blog. Ken's stuff is amazing. I'm glad you found your way here via Ken.

Cheers!
